Outpatient Sister
37.5hr | Mount Stuart Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Outpatient sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at Mount Stuart hospital.
The Role:
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, and hard-working individual to join the Outpatient Team on a full time basis.
Working as part of the wider clinical team we are looking for someone to provide Clinical leadership, demonstrating expert nursing knowledge and advice to the MDT, promoting and maintaining standards of professional practice that enhance the quality of care for patients.
We require a strong communicator with exceptional standards for customer service standards. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients.

Main Duties

  • Help lead the team by working closely with the OPD Manager and existing OPD Sister
  • You will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes using evidence based practice.
  • To provide managerial and clinical leadership across all clinical areas of the department including pre assessment and minor procedures.
  • Communicate delivery and outcomes of care to patients and to other members of the team.
  • Develop excellent working relationships.
  • Maintain excellent standards with infection control
  • Prioritise patient’s health and wellbeing across a complex pathway and changing caseload

What you’ll bring with you

  • Registered nursing qualification or equivalent
  • Leadership experience within a Hospital environment.
  • Registered with the NMC
  • Recent post qualification Outpatient experience with knowledge in either Pre Assessments, wound care or assisting with minor ops
  • Experience of a team approach to care delivery
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Provide leadership and assist in the management of the outpatient nursing team including Rota’s and HR management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Demonstrated Computer Skills
