Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

To carry out the on-site product inventory maintenance and optimization of the Supply Center and support eBusiness initiatives. The Sr Supply Center Specialists (Sr SCS) works closely with the account manager, and the Thermo Fisher Sales Team to carry out the Supply Center strategy, optimize the inventory, act as the main point of SCS Team contact for the customer, and ensure that the customer is maintained, in addition to providing additional guidance and support to the on site SCS team.
Location: Tarrytown, NY
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Pay: Starting at $29/hr depending on experience

EDUCATION:

HS Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

2+ years of relevant experience in customer service, sales, research & development or other related field.

Responsibilities:

Working at Thermo Fishers’ largest volume and highest service level customer locations, the Sr SCS responsibilities include up-keeping inventory, product mix optimization, and facilitating a white-glove customer experience, to ensure Supply Center annual growth goals are met- as well as coordinating with the onsite SCS Team, and providing support, including:

  • Ensure that customers have a positive experience by maintaining merchandising and branding standards, proper inventory quantity and product mix, and equipment condition.
  • Facilitate an accurate mix of products in the Supply Center to match the regularly evolving needs of the customers, by adding and deleting products from stock lists, and supporting new product introductions
  • Consult with the Supply Center team and sales account manager, to determine customer inventory requirements
  • Analyze transaction reports to support sales’ team initiatives
  • Support eBusiness initiatives by sharing account specific knowledge and leveraging key account relationships
  • Proactively seek feedback and look for opportunities to improve our business relationships both internally and externally
  • Implement and assist with product shows, seminars, on-site promotions, and other on-site promotional events tied to Supply Center
  • Ordering inventory (e.g. using the SCMS webpage or manual systems for collecting daily sign-out sheets or order forms, compiling a list of depleted inventory, placing orders to restock, and adding new products as needed)
  • Rotating inventory to ensure “first-in, first-out” and minimal product expirations.
  • May be required to complete other related tasks as the need arises, including training backfilled, or newly hired Supply Center Specialists
