JOB DESCRIPTION
Based from our site in Tilbury, Essex, the Commercial Manager is responsible for leading on all site commercial activities, maintaining an overview of all commercial site issues. The Commercial Manager will;
- Support the Project Director and Contract Manager with commercial issues, site risks, and client contract management.
- Identify and manage commercial opportunities, risks, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Guide commercial site personnel, coordinate tasks, and ensure compliance with contractual and insurance requirements.
- Participate in negotiations with subcontractors and manage site payments and financial documentation.
- Regularly update the team on commercial risks, opportunities, and project cost status.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years quantity surveying experience in Construction or Industrial Plant project delivery
- Proficient with standard form and bespoke contracts (NEC / FIDIC) and applicable HSEQ legal requirements
- Commercially aware with experience in change management and producing claims
- Assertive, diligent, detail and solution orientated, good negotiation skills
- Language skills: business fluent in English
