JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

Job Title- Site Engineer
Job Responsibilities-

Receive project:

  • Ensure the plan is executable
  • Ensure that service and material BOQ is correct
  • Set up site meeting with contractor and client

Site kick-off:

  • Meet on-site with contractor and client
  • Walk and assess the full planned route
  • Ensure scope of work conforms to the planning
  • Confirm availability of tools, materials, and labour
  • Discuss timelines according to the scope of work
  • Arrange build start dates
  • Issue site instruction, detailing project outline and receive sign-off

Build:

  • Familiarize with SOW timelines
  • Study Client Specifications (TI.s), M&P’s
  • Manage contractor teams on a day-to-day basis
  • Check and report progress on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure EHS documents are in order and perform regular EHS and SAFETY checks
  • Issue site instruction for any variation and re-assess timelines
  • Manage extension of time
  • Ensure trenching is according to standard with the correct width and depth
  • Ensure sleeves are correctly installed
  • Installation of duct to be monitored at regular intervals
  • Carry out a full inspection of duct installation
  • Arrange fiber-pulling teams and pulling fiber
  • Monitor Splicing
  • Monitor ODTR testing
  • Label site
  • Perform a detailed IQA check with SBC
  • Ensure QA documentation is in order

Additional tasks:

  • Do monthly and weekly compliances
  • Do labour and transport bookings
  • Completed scheduled Work orders
  • Provide daily updates on progress of projects

Contractor Management

  • Ensure contractor EHS and safety files are in place before site kick-off.
  • Monitor SBC performance and issue SI’s for delays, back on track plans and penalties as required relative to the Technical Specifications.
  • Assist SBC with any access or build issues and get relevant parties involved to help resolve if needed.
  • Do EHS and Quality inspections during build phase to measure contractor

Customer Relations:

  • Foster good working relationships with customer that will be conducive to the successful execution of projects

  • Must be able to perform other duties as required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

2、Required Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience within the telecoms industry.
  • Experience in telecoms project management and contractor management across multiple sites.

Bachelor or higher degree

  • Telecommunications Degree or Engineering Degree OR Relevant Diploma
  • Background in Telecommunication and experience of project Management.
