Description:

About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Engineer to join our Major Projects Team, based at Hinkley Point, Bridgwater.
Hinkley Point C is a multi-billion-pound nuclear power station that stands as a cornerstone of the UK’s energy future. This landmark project will play a crucial role in meeting the UK’s energy needs and driving sustainable progress.
Our experts will use state-of-the-art technology to excavate a total of nine kilometres of tunnel, which will be lined with 38,000 concrete segments forming 6000 lining rings. The tunnels will be connected to the seabed by vertical shafts and capped with large intake and outfall heads, each weighing close to 5000 tonnes, that allow sea water to pass into the tunnels. Both the concrete segments and the heads are under manufactured to exacting specifications at a purpose-built state-of-the-art facility at Balfour Beatty’s site in Avonmouth, Bristol.
As a Site Engineer, you will undertake Site Engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.

  • Completing Quality Check Sheets and compiling information for Handover Documentation in line with project timelines.
