We are recruiting to fill the position below:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to Mshel Homes Limited’s quality standards.
- The role includes managing resources, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in site management or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing construction sites effectively and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions quickly.
- Good understanding of safety management and the ability to implement health and safety protocols on-site.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
- Coordinate with the Project Controllers to ensure project objectives align with client expectations.
- Coordinate deliveries and manage site logistics to ensure smooth operation.
- Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring that they perform their duties effectively.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure that all personnel are aware of safety procedures.
- Monitor construction processes and ensure that work meets the company’s quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Manage the use of materials, labor, and equipment efficiently.
- Address and report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
- Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Identify potential issues before they become problems and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
- Resolve any on-site issues swiftly to avoid project delays.
- Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily logs, material usage, and personnel on-site.
- Report on project progress, budget updates, and any issues to the Project Manager.
- Ensure all site activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals before commencing work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
