Key Responsibilities:Site Coordination:
Oversee the day-to-day on-site activities of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines.
Assist in developing site plans, including scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring on-site progress aligns with project objectives.
Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Supervision:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure technical requirements are implemented accurately.
Provide hands-on support to resolve on-site technical issues and ensure construction meets project standards.
Review and suggest engineering modifications when necessary to ensure the project stays on track.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Conduct regular inspections of on-site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Maintain up-to-date documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, construction standards, and health and safety regulations.
Resource Management:
Assist in managing on-site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient utilization.
Work with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials and equipment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
Provide technical guidance to on-site teams, fostering a cooperative and productive working environment.
Client Interaction:
Support client communication by providing updates on site progress and addressing any site-specific issues.
Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients by ensuring transparency and timely communication.
Safety & Risk Management:
Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all construction teams.
Identify potential risks on-site and collaborate with project managers to implement mitigation strategies.
Critical Competencies:Construction Expertise:
Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and on-site management with experience in both residential and commercial projects.
Ability to oversee and manage site activities effectively.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in construction management software and tools, including AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Project Execution:
Ability to work with project managers to ensure timely completion of site activities, meeting project deadlines and milestones.
Capable of managing resources efficiently, ensuring optimal use of labor and materials.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability:
Ability to resolve on-site challenges efficiently, minimizing disruptions to project progress.
Adaptable to changing project requirements and conditions, ensuring successful site operations.
Attention to Detail & Quality Assurance:
Keen attention to detail in reviewing site activities and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Collaboration:
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Experience working closely with on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Reporting Structure:
The Site Engineer will report to the Construction Manager or Project Manager, coordinating with site supervisors and subcontractors.
Education & Experience:
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in site engineering or construction engineering, with exposure to both residential and commercial projects.
