Description:
Quintas Advisory is looking for the best candidate to fill the role of Site Engineer in a 110 MW photovoltaic plant located near Viterbo, in central Italy, where Quintas Advisory acts as the Owner’s Engineer. The project is expected to last between 12 and 18 months, and we offer a permanent contract.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project: scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review the EPC’s Project Execution Plan and verify its consistency and completeness.
- Permanent on-site presence.
- Close coordination with the Owner’s Engineer (Quintas Advisory).
- Identify and assess potential risks at all stages of the project, particularly regarding deadlines and obligations.
- Identify required resources.
- Review project design, contractual documentation, environmental studies, planning permissions, and health and safety reports.
- Facilitate team and client meetings.
- Review the EPC’s quality plan and manage quality assurance and control of components, construction, and installation works.
- Ensure compliance with the Owner’s requirements.
- Manage project milestones and associated payments.
- Liaise with the Owner and other stakeholders, including the EPC, planning council, landlord, and others.
- Manage people and the project, ensuring effective communication within the team.
- Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with potential solutions.
Conditions:
- On-site presence required from Monday to Friday.
- Fixed salary + daily allowances + accommodation + car.
- Continuity in the company after project completion.
We are looking for someone either already based in central Italy or willing to relocate for the duration of the project.
Candidate requirements:
- Relevant third-level qualifications, such as Electrical Engineer, with more than 2 years of professional experience in PV solar plants.
- Experience in project design, construction, and operation is preferred.
- Experience in Owner’s Engineering services is valued.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate and perform under pressure.
- Strong practical knowledge, both technical and commercial, of how renewable energy assets are developed, constructed, operated, and financed.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, (preferably also in Italian).
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail.
