The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

vKey accountabilities for the position

  • As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Site supervision and subcontractor management in performance & safety systems
  • Procuring of materials and coordinating deliveries and works schedules
  • Able to maintain planning/programming to assist project engineers with 4-6 week look ahead’s
  • Able to read/interpret design plans & drawings
  • Participate in client/contractor meetings where required
  • Financial assisting of cost tracking/invoicing of subcontractors on different packages of work
  • Gain leadership exposure with supporting graduates and cadets
  • Foster collaborative and effective relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders
  • Maintain documentation and systems for quality, safety, environmental
  • Support delivery across various packages in the utilities team not limited to electricity, comms, NBN, water, gas

Required Skills and Competencies

  • You will have a tertiary education in civil engineering, mech/elec engineering, construction or similar
  • Ideally you will have some site based experience to civil/utilities & complex utility relocations in support of a road project
  • An ability to prioritise your work, problem solve, learn, adapt and continually challenge yourself
  • Well-developed communication skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
