Description:
WHAT ARE THE MISSION-CRITICAL SKILLS?
- Degree or equivalent.
- Professional qualifications e.g. Prince2 desirable.
- Electrical and / or mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship).
- 3+ Years’ experience of operating in a medium / large automated manufacturing operation.
- Experience of leading a large (15+) engineering team, ideally in a unionised environment.
- Experience of budget control.
- Experience of managing capital programme desirable.
- IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems.
- Experience of working with engineering schedule KPI’s.
- Project management and leading / delivering change is desired.
- Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be a distinct advantage.Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing techniques e.g. Problem Solving, 5S, SMED.
