QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Four-year degree in accounting/finance/business or CPA License.
  • Five years experience in mid-level finance or accounting.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals.
  • Knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
  • Use of predictive analytics, financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Expert use of Epic and Excel. Efficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the budgeting process and also prepare department and project specific budgets. The budgets should integrate findings from expense reporting, revenue tracking, and financial projections.
  • Assists the accounting team with monthly financial reporting by calculating accruals, assessing expense capture and revenue completeness. Review all capital submissions in Strata for completeness, ensure invoices are paid timely, and POs are closed out when the project is complete to free up capital dollars.
  • Work with the Corporate team to ensure productivity and staffing are all appropriate based on volume and compared to their targets and benchmarks.
  • Review all requisitions to ensure proper coding of category code, department, account, while ensuring they are budgeted and work with Purchasing to ensure all old invoices / requisitions are processed or closed.
  • Train and educate department heads on both operating and capital budgeting and understanding of financial reports and processes, while providing leadership and education to the department s staff and cross-training.
  • Works with various department heads to gain financial operations understanding to create coherent reporting and communications. Assists department heads in researching budget variances and with plans to offset. Ensure variance comment collection are completed and work with accounting to address changes required.
  • Manage the capital process for the organization, ensure projects are accurately reported and timely updated for changes in cash flow. Have regular recurring meetings with the Project Management team to discuss major projects and reflect on changes. Work with Service Line Executives and Site Financial Offices to ensure their capital projects are current and appropriately reflected. Manage the capital budget process and year end carry forward.
  • Routinely review vendor statements for accurate recording of outstanding balances, and work with AP/purchasing to resolve discrepancies, duplicate invoices, misapplied invoices, aged pending invoices and miscoding. Be a liaison between department heads and supply chain. Identifies and researches reasons for potential delays in payment or other issues.
