We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Site Focal / Business Support Specialist in Hamburg, Germany. As the Site Focal, you will play a critical role in establishing and managing the operations of our Hamburg facility, ensuring smooth functioning and efficient coordination across various departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related matters, acting as a liaison between the site, internal customers, stakeholders, and other disciplinary functions.
  • Manage the facility’s operations and maintenance with a strong focus on sustainability, including initiatives to reduce the facility’s environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of facility projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify and address facility needs and improvements.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, including cost control and expense forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hamburg site, ensuring compliance with local law and company policies and procedures.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for facility related items through procurement internal business system.
  • Support invoice management for facility and business procurement when required.
  • Cooperate with finance department to manage assets including asset tagging, asset inventory, and asset disposal.
  • Develop and manage site emergency and contingency plans as per globally provided processes and templates, including regular updates and testing.
  • Support Front of House duties as required.
  • Maintain site records including management of accounts and facility OEM manuals.
  • Conduct the onboarding of new employees and contractors according to the Boeing process.
  • Monitor and report on site performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and German is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in site management, operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of facility management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using MS software and tools.
