EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Fie to ten (5-10) years of experience on construction site or equialent experience;
  • Strong experience on large construction sites as site manager;
  • Technical college degree and/or significant related experience;
  • Hydro product knowledge;
  • Project Management skills and ability to handle multiple complex tasks at a time;
  • Effectie communication skills (oral & written);
  • Proen leadership ability within a team context;
  • Excellent problem soling skills, sound judgment, initiatie & creatiity;
  • Professionalism and tact in representing the company to our internal and external customers;
  • Knowledge of French, spoken and written (an asset);
  • Aailable to trael & work on site for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

The site manager will be the primary contact with customer site management. Will be responsible for all operational site matters (costs, schedule, quality, health & safety, enironment). The site manager will need to maintain site team effectieness (leadership, communication, teamwork, coordination). Responsibility of promoting and safeguarding the interests of ANDRITZ Hydro at the site.

The following responsibilities form the core of this role:

  • Has oerall responsibility for site installation and commissioning actiities. This will include compliance with safety and enironmental protection requirements, respect of technical quality requirements, schedule management, costs management and project risks management;
  • Has oerall responsibility for installation planning and strategy and coordination with the client and other contractors on site;
  • Has oerall responsibility for the preparation of the mobilization plan, installation schedule and sequence and updating of the progress/deelopment of the plan as the work is completed;
  • Responsibility for site kick-off and progress reiew meetings. Proides prompt reports and documentation on deiations (cost, schedule, quality) to Project Manager;
  • Proides technical inputs and strategy for claim management;
  • Anticipates risks and measures to mitigate impacts from deiations to the plan;
  • Prepares site logs and maintenance of daily log book;
  • Prepares oerall weekly site reports.
