Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Responsible for the management of a construction site to achieve required project delivery to the clients’ objectives, whilst maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. Delivering the project to specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance.
Work closely with the commercial department, consultants, Sub-contractors and the site team to ensure that the project is completed in a safe manner whilst client requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead efficiently a team of trades, consultants & sub-contractors
- Supervising and overseeing the direction of a project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
- Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and members of the public.
- Deliver projects from start to completion including all handover documentation
- Coordinating and supervising construction workers selecting plant and materials
- Develop, update and optimize construction programmes with support of Contracts Manager
- Review and manage Sub-Contractors in line with their programme
- Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
- Maintaining quality control procedures
- Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up
- Assessing and minimising Health and Safety risks
- Ensure detailed site records are completed
