This role will work out of our Denver, Colorado facility and will support the organization by ensuring that our facility is a welcoming space for multiple stakeholder groups, building a full schedule of well-attended events, and maintaining a solid base of volunteers to run programs. The ideal candidate will excel at navigating dynamic systems and processes and working with people from varied backgrounds. QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Competence stewarding public spaces and engaging in de-escalation practices
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritize and pivot effectively
  • Confidence communicating effectively with people from all walks of life
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Availability to work on-site daily, maintaining a work schedule that is agreed on with manager (evenings may be preferred)
  • Availability to work approximately 1 weekend per month
  • Availability to travel approximately 2 times per year if needed

The Phoenix’s mission is to build a sober active community that fuels resilience and harnesses the transformational power of connection so that together we rise, recover, and live. Through activities such as CrossFit, book clubs, rock climbing, art socials, yoga, and meditation, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. The Phoenix offers free programs, both in person and online, for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety. Since 2006, we have served hundreds of thousands of individuals with the help of thousands of volunteers across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operation of Denver Champa Street facility. This includes oversight of building maintenance, security, city relations, quality assurance of athletic equipment, local vendor relations, incoming mail, communications with remodel crews, and other duties
  • Work on-site daily, greeting and supporting participants, volunteers, and donors as needed
  • Act as primary point of contact for Denver volunteers who lead programs out of Champa space
  • Drive on-the-ground scaling of volunteer impact as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned
