Description:
For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens, and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness.
Riverdale Osborne & Ocean Bay Community Centers provides health and service fairs, direct access to case management services, health and nutrition workshops, youth internship programs, volunteer opportunities, and a client choice food pantry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience providing youth supervision required.
- Experience in community organizing preferred.
- Experience providing crisis intervention services preferred.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Able to walk, sit, talk, hear and climb stairs if necessary.
- Able to travel between numerous sites.
Responsibilities:
- Provide constant supervision of youth working at the site.
- Facilitate an orientation which will include an overview of the program and work readiness lesson plans under the instruction of the Unit Manager.
- Conduct weekly group lessons under the instruction of the Unit Manager.
- Maintain well-documented client records and program statistics to comply with all agency/program/funding requirements, including program files/client documentation, timesheets, worksite documentation, and the educational component all need to be updated and upheld.
- Manage timesheets process; collect and calculate timesheet hours and submit them to the Program Manager.
- Work with Unit Manager to obtain proper documentation for maintaining files as audit ready. These include weekly assessments, licenses, assurances, worksite surveys, and worksite evaluations.
- Visit sites a minimum of two times weekly for monitoring assessments and timesheet pickup
