JOB DESCRIPTION

Framatome is a major international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear fleet. The company designs, manufactures, and installs components, fuel and instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants and offers a full range of reactor services.
Framatome is owned by the EDF Group (80.5%) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI – 19.5%)
In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.
Framatome Ltd are continuing to recruit for our HPC projects and therefore, we are looking to add to our Project Management team at Hinkley Point C.
Reporting to the Head of PMO, the Project Manager will ensure assigned projects are planned and delivered in line with agreed contractual obligations and expectations with the intention to create a positive and collaborative client relationship

The Project Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of projects, this will includes, but is not limited to, the following aspects:

  • Ensure projects are executed and controlled according to the best practices, meet customer requirements and minimise risks for the business
  • Develop and take responsibility for the project management processes of Framatome Ltd in line with management system and best practice in UK
  • Directly manage or participate in specific projects and bids in all aspects related to project management, project control, contract management, site management, site work delivery planning, HSE/CDM advisory
  • Develop, lead and supervise site teams in accordance to projects needs
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders including third parties/vendors

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION REQUIRED

Experienced

Qualifications:

  • Prince 2 or AMP Qualified;
  • Member of appropriate professional body (APM, PMI, CIOB, etc.);
  • CSCS Managers & Professionals;
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable);
  • SMSTS (desirable);
  • NVQ Level 3 Leadership & Management (desirable);
  • HND in Engineering or equivalent (desirable)

Experience:

  • Good understand of Project control and Planning (Primavera and MS Project);
  • Experience of managing Manufacturing and supply of equipment projects between of £1 - 5M;
  • Cost, finance system and tools knowledge including costs control and financial reporting;
  • Experience of highly regulated industries;
  • Experience in fabrication and welding of Stainless-steel equipment (desirable);
  • Knowledge of investigating incidents and non-conformances (desirable)

Responsibilities:

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

The Project Manager of Framatome is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of project. The role of the Project Manager includes, but is not limited to, the following aspects:

  • To ensure Framatome projects are executed and controlled according to the best practices, meet customer requirements and minimise risks for the business;
  • To develop and take responsibility for the project management processes of Framatome in line with Framatome management system and best practice in UK;
  • To directly manage or participate in specific projects and bids in all aspects related to project management, project control, contract management, site management, site work delivery planning, HSE/CDM advisory;
  • To develop, lead and oversee site teams in accordance to projects needs;
  • To manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders including third parties/vendors.

For this role we are offering a salary of up to £55,000 per annum plus benefits, including, but not limited to:

  • 25 days annual leave per year raising to 28 (x1 day for 2 years service)
  • 8% Employer pension contribution (salary sacrifice) – 1% min Employee
  • Individual and family private health care (Employee, partner/ spouse and any child up to 24 years)
