ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You will lead by example, providing hands-on technical leadership while driving continuous improvement through automation and best practices. KEY REQUIREMENTS (WHO YOU ARE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to technical leadership.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Shell.
  • PHP knowledge is a big PLUS
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and package management like Helm.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform.
  • Must have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Cloudflare or similar CDN and DNS management tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead code and non-functional reviews of all production-bound SRE solutions, focusing on performance, security, maintainability, compliance, and change management.
  • Drive transformation by continuously seeking ways to automate existing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Utilize your AWS expertise to manage and optimize a wide range of services including EC2, VPC, Security Groups, Elastic Load Balancer, Elastic Cache, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, WAF, Route 53, and EKS.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable efficient and automated software delivery.
  • Manage Cloudflare or similar tools for DNS, Workers, Page Rules, and Caching.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices related to SRE, AWS, infrastructure, etc
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure on AWS.
  • Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and application performance.
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to incidents and ensure 24/7 availability of our systems.
