Site Reliability Engineer/DevSecOps Developer

Janus is looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer / DevSecOps Developer to help grow our capability with our DoD clients. You will get to work on important projects, continue to grow your skills, and work with some of the most talented and impactful leaders in the industry and DoD.

You’ll be asked to provide a depth of experience in the following:

• Provide technical consulting recommendations to our client and lead the cloud and data transformations
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure using IaC technologies(e.g. terraform or similar) ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient platforms
• Collaborate with data and other development teams to define infrastructure requirements and create reusable modules, managing in the client DevSecOps environment
• Lead design and implementation of Azure Cloud solutions including infrastructure, data and application services
• Use knowledge of identity and access management in on-premises solutions and the cloud inclusive of Azure AD Connect, ADFS, and third-party identity providers
• Define and implement these innovative solutions using concepts such as infrastructure-as-code (IaC), deployment orchestration, and automation templates
• Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or other similar tools
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for applications and infrastructure
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for infrastructure and applications
• Implement centralized logging solutions for better visibility and troubleshooting
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure
• Continuously optimize resource utilization and costs
• Ability to teach and influence stakeholders in the use of effective cloud solutions and best practices

Success Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field and eight years of professional experience in systems engineering
• Implement Azure Cloud infrastructure in DoD space, especially Army and Air Force
• Ability to mentor and train internal technical teams
• Comfortable in a client-facing environment and interacting with technical and business partners
• Continually learning emerging technologies, pursuing certifications, and need to enhance your cloud career
• As part of the Cloud Infrastructure must have extensive knowledge of traditional network architecture such as IP Addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Expertise implementing encryption technologies (SSL, encryption, PKI)
• Possess current industry-recognized certifications including Azure Cloud Solution Architect Expert
• Holds a current Secret Clearance

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Proficiency in Docker for containerization
• Familiarity of C#/.Net or similar language frameworks
• CI/CD tools Solid understanding of DevOps principles and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Security+, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps, Azure Security Fundamentals)
  Target salary range: $130000- $145000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
