ROLE OVERVIEW

As part of a global team of production experts working in a the Sun” support model, we seek a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join us. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our mission-critical production systems’ availability, security, integrity, and performance. RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform Monitoring, Incident Management & Level 2/3 support:

  • Manage daily operations of client-hosted platforms, ensuring proactive monitoring and swift incident resolution.
  • Participate in production shift duties to cover APAC, EMEA, and Americas regions and ensure 24/6 support. This may include working different time shifts as needed to provide coverage across multiple time zones.
  • Coordinate incident responses, communicate with stakeholders, and conduct post-mortem analyses.
  • Regularly review system capacity and performance, initiating upgrades and maintenance as needed.
  • Utilize data analytics to anticipate trends and potential challenges.

Implementation & Change Management:

  • Act as a gatekeeper for the change control process, collaborating with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Review and deploy customer platforms, assessing and scheduling enhancements/upgrades.
  • Improve and automate production tools/scripts to enhance monitoring, failover, and backup/recovery processes.

Project & Engineering:

  • Lead technical projects, including enhancements to production tools and validation of new technical solutions.
  • Participate in global initiatives to roll out large-scale platforms, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Lead the transformation of the Site Reliability Engineering department to ensure we use the best technologies available.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Application Support or DevOps Engineer in the financial industry.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a production-oriented mindset.
  • Good general IT knowledge (OS Linux, networking, SQL database, Docker…)
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Bash/Shell, Perl, Python, or Java.
  • Knowledge of Agile/DevOps practices, automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of the financial market or experience with the FIX protocol is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms (Nagios, ITRS) and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
  • Availability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
