Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and infrastructure. This position involves implementing reliability engineering standards, automating processes, managing incident responses, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system resilience. Other responsibilities include providing second tier support for internal and external customers. Strong problem-solving abilities, expertise in monitoring and automation tools, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
This role will have a hybrid work schedule, based in our Lititz HQ or King of Prussia, PA office.
- Work with development members to understand project enhancements or defect fixes and create, organize, and maintain test plans and test cases accordingly.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and performing acceptance, regression, and functional tests and effectively documenting results.
- Responsible for running functional and regression tests to ensure new features/enhancements meet user requirements and are free of major defects.
- Provide second tier support for issues from first tier support team. Identify if issue is user error, defect, or system limitation and create defect ticket for development or advise first tier support as necessary.
- Manage monitoring and alerting systems such as New Relic, OpenSearch, and Grafana
- Participate in incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and assist in implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Regular status updates to all assigned sprint tasks in daily stand-up meetings and maintain task progression on a daily basis.
