ABOUT THE BUSINESS:

A Technology business that is NOT an MSP or Consultancy which operates nationally, they have a unique and business-critical service offering which they provide.
They have an impressive track record for growth but what is more impressive is how they treat their staff as individuals over numbers. They are based within 5kms outside the CBD. This business is a NFP organisation and are looking for their next Systems Engineer.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This is a full-time position looking for a seasoned operator that brings their playbook of problem-solving (diligent in how they deploy products and prepared to dig into the application) on escalations and projects. This role is focused on on-prem infra. You will be responsible for:

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure as a service environment.
• Continuous development in automation services using agile methodology.
• Provide technical support for applications and systems infrastructure.
• Respond to incidents, faults, and difficulties as escalated from the operations centre.
• Identify root causes, liaise with Product Owners, and develop long-term solutions.
• Complete security audits on a routine basis.
• Perform other job-related duties as required and work towards continuous improvement.
• Manage a large-scale Kubernetes environment across multiple sites
• Support a high-performance SOC environment.

Role Requirements:

• Due to clearance checks, Candidates must have either an Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency or hold a New Zealand Citizenship.

• Recent experience with:

• • Strong experience with Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of core server administration concepts (On-prem experience recently)
• Linux (Red Hat Certification preferred)
• Strong knowledge of multi-server automated remote deployments.
• Proficiency with automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins).
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies.
