Description:

The Level One Site Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth deployment of code from non-production to production environments. This role involves managing defects, coordinating with developers for timely resolutions, and providing on-call support for batch processing. The primary duties include:

  • Code Deployment: Oversee the deployment of code from non-production to production environments, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best practices.
  • Defect Management: Identify, track, and manage defects. Collaborate with developers to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Coordination: Act as a liaison between development teams and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve any deployment-related issues.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support for batch processing, ensuring availability to address and resolve any issues that arise during off-hours.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor system performance and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, defect management, and support procedures.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in technical support or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Make informed decisions under pressure.

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical/strategic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a successful track record of working in teams.
  • Experience with batch job and automation platforms.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • 1-2 years of technology experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems / Computer Science / Business or equivalent.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in developing solutions to complex problems and business needs.
  • Proven effective team player.
  • 3-5 years of technology experience.

  • Promote application code and updates through lower environments into production.
  • Assist with the monitoring, incident response, and reliability of production systems.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and configuration management.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring and automation tools
  • Create alerts and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to improve system reliability.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
