SUMMARY:
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is a key player in maintaining the stability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure. The SRE bridges the gap between development and operations, ensuring that our systems are robust, scalable, and efficient. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize the performance and reliability of our software systems, automates processes, and handles production incidents with a focus on continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System Monitoring & Incident Response:
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Maintain on-call rotations and ensure reliable incident communication and management.
- Performance Optimization:
- Identify performance bottlenecks and work to optimize system performance.
- Conduct capacity planning and implement strategies to ensure the system meets future demands.
- Monitor application and infrastructure metrics to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues.
- Collaboration & DevOps Culture:
- Work closely with software engineers to design scalable and reliable services.
- Advocate for best practices in system design, deployment, and monitoring.
- Help foster a DevOps culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across teams.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement security best practices across the infrastructure.
- Ensure systems adhere to compliance and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
- Perform regular system audits to maintain security and compliance standards.
