EnviroVantage is looking for a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).
The SSHO will be responsible for the direct Safety and compliance oversight of all Abatement, Demolition & Site Restoration activities for a project in Radford, VA; including any additional subcontractors. Candidate must be based within normal daily commuting distance from Radford, VA.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction
• Managing safety program or processes conducting hazard analyses and developing controls
• OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER 40 required. If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
• Previous experience as an SSHO
• Strong working knowledge and experience with OSHA:1926.1101;1926.62 and others
• Strong working knowledge of EM385-1-1CPR and First Aid certifications

• Lead daily safety meetings and conduct routine safety/health inspections and report back weekly to the office
• Conduct refresher training as needed; including but not limited to tools, lifts, confined space, etc.
• Perform safety and occupational health management program, safety surveillance, safety inspections, and safety enforcement
• Coordinate any corrective actions with EnviroVantage Site Superintendent
