Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Safety Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel on site, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will also help promote a strong safety culture within the team. If you are passionate about safety and have experience in construction or industrial settings, we encourage you to apply! This position involves long hours, for a shutdown from March 3 to March 28.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a Site Safety Supervisor, Safety Officer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction or industrial settings.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety and/or NCSO preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 1 month
    Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 44 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily safety inspections and assessments on the worksite.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Guide and support workers on safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses, documenting and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including reports and training documents.
  • Ensure proper safety equipment and procedures training for workers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors and safety team to develop and implement site-specific safety plans.
