SITE SERVICE ENGINEER

We are on the lookout for a Site Services Engineer, with a plumbing bias, who can take their hand to most building systems
The Engineer will join our a professional facilities team and assist the Site Manager to deliver a high quality service in a timely and efficient manner.
To implement the building services planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive programme.
Hours of work will be 08.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work as overtime.
The Engineer will form part of the crucial first line support out of hours call out rota
We need an individual who is flexibly in the role and commitment to the hospital, as result; standby, overtime and company vehicle are included in the role.
So what does the Day to Day role look like:
Carry out low level but vitally important Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks,
Carry out Reactive tasks in accordance with Trust response times to allow the clinical function of the hospital to continue,
Signing in, induction and escorting of contractors as they arrive on site,
Checking of contractor works on completion
And what are we looking for? Someone who has a similar skill, knowledge and/or experience:
Carpentry = Installing notice boards and pin boards, refitting; locks, door handles, and general service and maintenance of all building fabric.
Minor Plumbing Repairs = Repairing leaking taps, refitting toilet seats, renewing ball valve washers and floats, testing and replacing TMV’s, clearing blocked toilets and sink drains
Minor Electrical Repairs = Relamping of light fittings
General = Minor plaster repairs, minor repairs to floor covering, internal decorations to include painting, removal of graffiti, replacing fixtures and fittings, e.g. toilet roll holders, paper towel holders, brackets, shelves, cupboards, plus minor repairs to fencing, paths, drives and, minor glazing
