Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Site Services Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast developing and expanding market leading organisation.
JOB SUMMARY
The Site Services Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the utilities, facilities, and site infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations at FEI Foods’ manufacturing sites. This includes managing systems such as HV transformers, boilers, compressors, HVAC, water treatment and lifting equipment, while adhering to regulatory compliance, health and safety standards, and operational efficiency.
This role reports directly to the Site Services Engineering Manager and interfaces with various departments such as Production, Quality and Supply Chain.
SKILLS
· Strong understanding of relevant regulations, including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, and environmental standards.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across teams.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
· IT literate, with experience using CMMS and reporting tools.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS-
- Educated to HNC level
- BOAS Operator qualified
- NVQ Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS-
· Degree in Engineering
· IOSH/NEBOSH qualified.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE-
- At least 2 years’ proven experience in site services or utilities engineering within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining boilers, steam systems, compressors, and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Familiarity with Six Sigma or TPM methodologies.
