The Nottingham University Hospitals Research and Innovation department is undergoing a redesign to bring research closer to our patients. Our vision is to situate Nottingham University Hospitals Trust at the very forefront of clinical research placing patient needs at the centre of our research activity.
We are seeking a Site Setup Facilitator to support setting up and opening a range of clinical trials to support our clinical research portfolio within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidates will work closely with lead researchers, clinical teams and Divisional Portfolio Managers to ensure a thorough, accurate and swift approach to trial set up. .
The Research team prides itself on delivering high quality clinical research across all clinical areas. The portfolio of trials is large covering commercial and non-commercial studies and we consider research as an integral part of patient care and try to ensure that every patient is offered a trial where appropriate.
The Site Setup Facilitator will provide a supportive and proactive role of setting up clinical research trials within a chosen Division to realise R&I, Trust, and National objectives.
The successful candidates will undertake study set up and review in order to facilitate the preparation of approval documents. This will involve meeting with researchers and liaising with Trust’s support departments such as, Pathology, Pharmacy and Imaging. The successful candidate will also liaise with external stakeholders such as academic organisations and pharmaceutical companies.

Central to our research is Nottingham’s expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Supporting all of our research is the NIHR Nottingham Clinical Research Facility which provides the infrastructure, skills and knowledge essential to the delivery of high quality experimental medicine research for adults and children. Our expertise and resources are at the forefront of COVID-19 research into effective treatments and vaccines, as well as contributing to the world’s understanding of Coronavirus.
