We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Site Supervisor who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment; to our clients, families, and each other.
The Site Supervisor will be working in the program, as part of a team providing a positive learning environment that supports children’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth and development. Wesley’s Registered Early Childhood Educators care for and observe children each day to understand and foster their interests and provide an engaging and stimulating environment and program. Location and/or program can be changed based on enrollment and/or operational needs.
This position is a unionized, full-time, permanent position. The rate of pay is $21.61 per hour. Wage Subsidy and Wage Enhancement is available in addition to the rate of pay based on criteria and funding available from the City of Hamilton.

• Develop, plan, promote, implement, and evaluate day-to-day operations of the programs with the support of the Supervisor Early Years and other staff.
• Accept program registrations, provide program information and orientation for families requiring care, and maintain secured child files.
• Be knowledgeable about and comply with all Ministry of Education, Child Care, and Early Years Act, 2014 legislated/licensing requirements and ensure licensing requirements are abided by at all times.
• Implement all required daily, weekly, and monthly procedures and secure storage of all documentation.
• Plan and implement programming based on the Ministry of Education’s pedagogy “How Does Learning Happen?”
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment that is responsive to the interests and needs of the children in the program.
• Be familiar with and adhere to licensing requirements per the Ministry of Education, Child Care and Early Years Act (2014).
• Provide quality, play-based learning, and supervision of all children in the care of Wesley Urban Ministries at all times.
• Ensure program needs are being met and in compliance with program licensing requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
