We are seeking a skilled Site Supervisor to join our Operations team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site supervision, specifically with reclamations, remediations and or demolition projects. You will be responsible for the quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness of deliverables. The candidate will have the drive to lead a group with a growing and hard-working team. They will be highly disciplined and understand the importance of following procedures, maintaining systems and equipment. The candidate will ideally be experienced with excavators, loaders, graders, and various other pieces of heavy equipment. This role requires an individual who takes pride in their work and can do so efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
JOB DUTIES
- Embraces and enforces the site and corporate Health and Safety Plans
- Works with the site Health and Safety representatives
- Ability to review project hazards and participate in Job Hazard Analysis
- Perform pre-task planning
- Participate in incident investigations and reporting. * manage priorities and workflow by working closely with field staff, Project Manager(s), and Operations Manager(s)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead environmental compliance efforts through review and maintenance of all project environmental documents and logs
- Prepares environmental applications and required compliance documents for use during project
- In coordination with management, issue directives to mitigate non-compliance noted during inspections
- Records and track deficiencies through to resolution
- Enter hours for personnel and equipment into tracking system
- Provide guidance to subcontractors on environmental issues; when necessary, research information to respond to staff queries.
- Assist with site training initiatives
- Follows safety and security procedures and determine appropriate action
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly
- Identify potential hazard on site and implement the necessary pre-cautionary measures to prevent incidents. Ensure that the work area is kept safe and maintained with good housekeeping practices
- Execute jobsite work activities in an effective and efficient manner that conforms to Sublatus’ and the client’s quality and safety standards
- Perform any other duty or task as may be assigned from time to time by the superintendent or designated manager
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients
- Motivate, inspect, observe, and assign tasks to workers
- Monitor productivity, promote training and cross training of all assigned workers, and promote team principles
