Description:

Responsibilities:

  • As Site Supervisor, responsibility for day to day supervision of Highway Projects, which include local transport schemes and major highway and structure improvement works.
  • Where appointed, support the Project Leads and Professional Services’ teams in the delivery of schemes.
  • Manage and co-ordinate workload to achieve project deliverables within the agreed time, quality, and financial objectives.
  • Produce daily site records including diaries & photo records. Diaries to focus on site activities and progress against Contractor programme.
  • On all projects, facilitate the Supervisor role within NEC3 and NEC4 contracts. This includes site inspections, identifying defects and recording defects through an NEC contract management system. In addition, applicants with Knowledge of JCT contract administration would be an advantage.
  • Manage and monitor the onsite testing of materials and co-ordinating of material acceptance in line with the specification of the works information.
  • Assist the NEC Project manager produce highlight reports and attend monthly progress meetings.
  • Carry out pre-design site walk through with the design team to input on the design.
  • Assist the Engineer in the preparation of information and pre-construction phase health and safety plans for tender packages.
  • Engage in early contractor involvement with subcontractors.
  • Deliver the service in line with quality management procedures and demonstrate an understanding of the principles behind these.
  • Support the Design Consultancy in delivering improved services, and promote and instil company values.
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be expected at this level
