Description:

SKILLED HGV TECHNICIAN MONDAY - FRIDAY 07.00 - 17.00

As a skilled HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on our modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles and trailers. As a professional you will be expected to carry out your duties in a safe and timely manner, making sure that all requirements are fully met and that the required standard of service, maintenance and repairs are achieved through correct diagnosis of the work undertaken.

  • To carry out tasks to the highest standard expected
  • To report any problems encountered to the workshop Manager or Foreman
  • To always wear and use the PPE equipment provided.
  • Complete routine maintenance and repairs on the company’s HGV vehicles and trailers.
  • To achieve a 100% MOT first time pass rate.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Complete inspections and identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed. To use the DAF electronic job card system correctly with correct descriptions of all jobs completed. Ensure that all labour times and parts are assigned to the correct job card.
  • Report any damaged or broken company equipment.
  • To follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures (if you are not sure of anything please ask your workshop manager). Ensure work area is clean and organised.
