Skilled Labourer or Apprentice Carpenter

We renovate homes and we need a skilled labourer or apprentice carpenter to join our team. You must have a reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence. A clean driving record is required to drive company vehicles.
What type of work will you be doing? You will be assisting our carpenters with a wide variety of construction and renovation tasks. Helping with framing, formwork, concrete and finishing carpentry tasks. There is also cleaning job sites, demolition and driving the company truck to deliver tools and materials. If you can paint and do drywall repairs, that is a bonus. There is a wide variety of tasks, so there is lots of opportunity to learn and grow.
What about the company? We are a crew of 6 and we renovate homes. We are serious students of the craft of renovation and construction. We take a conscientious approach to every project and we aim to provide a high level of personalized service to our clients. All of our employees must be able to talk to our clients in a friendly and professional manner. Our livelihoods depend on positive word of mouth. You must share this mindset.
Ideally, you have some experience with basic construction tasks and are able to work safely and carefully. We are excited to teach, and learn from you. We are a learning organization and aim to use best practices. We pay competitive hourly rates based on skill level, work ethic and attitude.
Most of our projects are residential renovations, although we also do some basic commercial renovations. The majority of our work is in the City of Vancouver and North Vancouver and employees must have a reliable vehicle and drivers licence to commute to work. A clean driving record is required to drive company vehicles.
