Overview:
Are you excited about electronics and love to lead teams? This may be the position you have been looking for. The Slot Technician Supervisors are responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests by ensuring your team is maximizing uptime of the slot machines with preventative maintenance and repair. You will help keep the excitement on the gaming floor by leading projects such as new installs, theme conversions and slot machine moves. Your strong presence on the gaming floor will be vital to your management of people and interacting with customers while delivering exceptional customer service. You will ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, developing and implementing slot game, bank or layout changes.
  • Review, recommends and/or revises policies and procedures that support the organization’s initiatives and enables the department to operate in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
  • Create and maintain preventive maintenance and repair programs in order to ensure slot machines are in good working order and down times are minimized. Ensure daily maintenance of machines is conducted.
  • Coordinate machine relocations, installs, removals and machine conversions / upgrades.
  • Analyze current physical layouts of slot machines and recommend appropriate changes that most effectively enhance utilization, manpower and floor space in collaboration with Slot Operations management.
  • Ensure efficient operation and repair of slot machines and related gaming equipment, ensuring par levels of supplies and parts.
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors pertaining to the technical side of the slot department as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned, and coordinate and oversee slot technical conversions and modifications.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Works under AGCO regulations to ensure your compliance with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • A College diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education with a background in electronics.
  • Supervisory experience of 1+ years in a Slot Operations or Electronics area.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages such as Microsoft Office and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment.
  • An ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast paced, shift work environment.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Must be age 19 years or older.
