QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in a platform management or similar role
• Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices
• Experience with security monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., SIEM, ELK Stack, SOAR)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and security tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

LEADERSHIP SKILLS:

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill
• Proven ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certifications in relevant technologies (AWS Certified, Google Cloud Certified, etc.)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments

ROLE PURPOSE

The SRE Platform Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our existing platform infrastructure, and is key to supporting our journey towards SRE within security monitoring and analytics domain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SRE concepts and ideally be adept at implementing and managing security monitoring and analytics tools. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and security. This role will be responsible for ensuring the highest possible availability for platforms and ensuring that incidents are responded to, and resolved, efficiently and effectively.
