Job Description
Are you passionate about working with people to make key lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellbeing? An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medicine and Urgent Care Group as a new Smoking Cessation service is being set up. This will focus on providing inpatients with support to help them stop smoking. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication skills to be the Band 4 Supervisor. Experience of working in an NHS/Health care setting would be beneficial or a role where frequent engagement with the public was key.
The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking face to face smoking cessation assessments with inpatients and liaising with the clinical and community teams involved in the patients’ care and onward cessation journeys. They will also be responsible for the management of the Band 3 Smoking Cessation Advisor. Training will be provided, but the post holder will be expected to computer literate (word, outlook, excel).

- NVQ III /RSA III or relevant equivalent experience
- Desirable NCSCT Level 2 Smoking Cessation
- GSCE/A Level)
