JOB OVERVIEW:

The RWJBH Social Impact and Community Investment or SICI, SNAP Navigator Program Manager will lead a team of SNAP Navigators strategically placed across RWJBH acute care facilities. This role will be responsible for maintaining program specific compliance with state agencies, budget management and fostering growth among their team members.
The Manager will set the tone to lead a team of compassionate individuals providing food access assistance to the communities we serve in alignment with RWJBH’s commitment to combatting food insecurity. We are looking for an enthusiastic team leader who is passionate about making healthy food available for our neighbors in need.
Qualifications:

Required:

• This position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Solution driven, self-motivated, empathetic.
• Comprehension of food security/food access issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle; automobile/vehicle with valid insurance.

Preferred:

• Individuals with higher educational experience in Public and/or Community Health are best suited for this job, however relevant work experience in benefits enrollment programs will also be considered.

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

• Full-time, Day
• Flexibility to work expanded hours as needed.
• This position will sit at RWJBH Corporate Offices in West Orange.

• Oversight of 12 SNAP Navigators throughout the RWJBH system.
• Aggregation of data and additional reporting metrics for monthly departmental and quarterly state reporting.
• Full understanding of SNAP enrollment processes to aid in staff training and overall program implementation.
• Coordinate scheduling with community partner organizations to provide services.
• Maintain and foster new relationships with partner organizations.
• Participate in recurring state and partner organization led training sessions to reach and maintain expertise in program eligibility requirements and application procedures.
• The SNAP Navigator Program Manager will report to the Senior VP of Social Impact and Community Investment.
