As part of the SoC Performance group, you’ll work with a diverse set of cross-functional teams to help architect, optimize, and ship our industry-leading SoCs powering Apple products from iPhone to Apple Watch, iPad, Macs, and more!
DESCRIPTION
As an intern in the System-on-Chip (SoC) Performance Modelling Team, you will work together with platform architects to create C++ simulations of Apple’s next iPhone/iPad/Mac chips. You will contribute to the model and help analyse new wireless (5G) solutions and related applications, such as augmented reality, to help us deliver the best products to our millions of customers. We are looking for a student who is passionate about developing in C++ and/or Python and brings a solid understanding of computer architecture or complex embedded systems.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor/ Master/ PhD degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to fluently speak and write in EnglishAvailability for 6 months or more
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Profound C++ and/or Python programming knowledge
- Coursework and understanding of computer architecture and the HW/SW stack
- Good understanding of embedded systems
- Creativity and curiosity about how things work beyond the classroom
- Examples of substantial hardware or software projects brought to completion
- Ability to study a problem in depth and independently design experiments, analyse data, and present results in wider forums
