Salary: £48,474 to £51,515 per annum (Grade 10)
Hours: 37 per week
Based: Spindles Shopping Centre

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

  • Be a registered Social Worker and hold a post qualifying award.
  • Have 2 years experience within management/ leadership
  • Knowledge of Learning Disability Services and best practice

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Working within the Learning Disability and Autism Social Work Team, you will be a key player in managing the team to drive forward best practice. You will be responsible for co-ordinating team activities and contributing to the strategic development of the service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To undertake a wide range of staff management activities, including recruitment , selection, inductions, sickness monitoring, H&S, Discipline and grievances
  • To ensure work is allocated appropriately
  • To appraise staff and ensure learning needs are identified and met
  • Conduct formal and informal supervision if staff
  • To promote required chances
  • Collate information to present to senior management
  • Develop and implement quality standards
  • Deputise for the Service Manager when required
  • Compile information and write reports as required
