12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT / SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Property & Asset Management (PAM) Department, in the Capital Delivery Team are pleased to announce this opportunity.The Council have secured a grant of £4.5m in funding to retrofit homes to an EPC C rating. We are recruiting a Project Manager (maternity cover) to lead the delivery of the work. This post will sit in the Capital Delivery Team.
The council has appointed an external consultant to provide the retrofit assessment and coordinator roles. The contractors are responsible for the designs and installation works. The project manager will lead the overall programme management responsibilities and report to the fund provider, DESZN.
The post holder must have experience managing construction projects and experience managing consultants and contractors delivering the work. The post must have excellent technical knowledge of the PAS 2030 / 2035 standards for retrofit work.
The post will align with the SHDF work 2.2 delivery programme timetable until September 2025.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to take on a key role in managing and delivering a crucial project. The successful candidate will coordinate and file monthly reports to DESNZ to secure available funding and lead the liaison with delivery partners, managing change request forms, hosting monthly meetings, and acting as the main point of contact at LBH. You will serve as the client representative with delivery consultants, ensuring council work stages are followed and approvals secured. Additionally, the role involves coordinating lessons learned feedback, leading monthly meetings with consultants and contractors, and developing and refining the property list for the programme.
The post holder will oversee the project’s budget, ensuring timely invoicing and payments, and manage the consultation process with residents, including developing a tailored engagement plan. They will also oversee post-inspection evaluations, handover information, and prepare internal monthly progress reports.
