Our team shape projects that connect communities and impact daily life for millions. Join our Living Places team as a Social Impact Coordinator - Lewes and build new futures.
As our Social Impact Coordinator, you will be working within our team to support
the organization and delivery of events and programmes that deliver against our
project requirements and make a difference to local people within the communities
we work. This new role is required to support both the social and environmental
managers with their data collection and reporting
What you’ll be doing

As a Social Impact Coordinator, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Supporting our South projects to deliver social impact outcomes bydeveloping local networks of school groups, community groups, third sectororganisations, employability partners and charities.
  • Co-ordinating attendance at events with schools, colleges and universitiesin areas of STEM and construction careers including developingrelationships with local schools and education organisations.
  • Promoting apprenticeship opportunities both with Balfour Beatty andthrough our supply chain.
  • Coordinating charitable donations and community-based volunteeringopportunities.
  • Reporting and monitoring sustainability impact outcomes which includesevidencing local labour, local spend, arranging work experience, recruitmentfrom priority groups including participants from pre-employability supportprogrammes, positive destination programmes and coordinating community-based activities.
  • Supporting project teams to create and distribute project newsletters,comms for our social streams and updates to local community.
  • Promoting the successes of our project teams’ social impact throughcreating case studies, good news articles and promoting successes internaland external

Responsibilities:

  • Smart working, giving you more flexibility such as staggered start and finish times, with up to 40% remote working, where roles allow.
  • 25 days paid annual leave (pro rata)
