JOB DESCRIPTION
Aramark Canada is looking for Marketing professional who has a true passion for food and loves exploring/experimenting with new cuisines to join our team at Brock University in St.Catharines, ON. If your personal life centers around food, from taking Instagram pictures to writing blog posts about your culinary adventures we want to speak with you about this Campus ‘Foodie’ Marketing Manager!
In this role, you will be working closely with our onsite Food Service Operations team and Corporate Marketing team to help bring our client’s vision and mission to life. The Campus “Foodie” Marketing Manager is a champion, guardian, advocate, and ambassador of the food brand.
Collaboratively with the key stakeholders, you will plan, coordinate, organize and execute all communication initiatives, including both proactive and reactive communication to bring the culinary brand to life. The Marketing Manager will provide support on all local engagement activities, both partner and consumer facing, including but not limited to written and verbal communication, events, learning programs and community events.
You will use your skills to develop promotional material, enhance our brand and inform our customers about the innovative and quality products that the University Dining Services has to offer. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for executing initiatives across different platforms and handling a number of diverse projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Business is reqruired
- No previous job experience necessary just a proven knowledge of all social media platforms and passion for food. We need a FOODIE
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An eye for design and branding
- Strong research, project management and analytical skills
- Content creation experience (blogs, press releases, internal communication, social media posts)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
- Excellent project management skills with a proactive approach to all projects
- Self-directed with strong organization and time management with the ability to organize work and set priorities
- Minimal travel required in Niagara region as well as GTA
Responsibilities:
- Support the operations team in executing innovation launches that drive profit growth
- Lead the sales growth and marketing campaigns for mandatory and voluntary meal plan programs
- Lead the development of creative customer presentations, centering all marketing efforts to achieve immediate and long-term business goals
- Coordinating student engagement activities showcasing new products and programs
- Interacting directly with the District Marketing Manager to identify fresh marketing opportunities by category
- Recommend actions, plan projects, estimate costs and manage projects to completion
- Manage website content, enhancements, and further development
- Execute on campus market research initiatives including intercept and digital surveys.
- Provide market research, campaign results and campus consumer trends and put together action plans to further strengthen our dining services program.
- Support the development, implementation, and execution of the University Dining Services’ brand strategy
- Design campus specific traditional, digital, and social marketing campaigns; measure the effectiveness and sales data for each initiative
- Update and manage content of food service marketing materials and coordinate print production when required
- Drive innovation via technology providing strategic marketing plan as well as implementation support for multiple platforms such as digital screens and mobile applications
- Execute, measure and track participation for Aramark vendor partner programs
- Build and maintain core relationships with clients, partners students and local campus communities
