Description:

ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON

The University of East London has been pioneering futures since 1898. In 2023, we celebrated the 125th anniversary of our founding as the “people’s university”. We are a careers-led university, dedicated to supporting our students to develop the skills, emotional intelligence and creativity needed to thrive in a constantly changing world.
We are now in the second half of Vision 2028, our 10-year strategy, which has been developed to transform our curriculum, pedagogy, research impact and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate, and community success. Our ambitious goal is to become the leading careers-focused university in the UK, one that both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively. People are taking notice: we were shortlisted for University of the Year by the Times Higher Education Awards 2023. In 2024, we are celebrating our Year of Science, which will culminate in our hosting of the British Science Festival in September.
