Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Social Media Content Producer for The Australian Women’s Weekly and Women’s Weekly Food, you’ll play a key role in shaping the brands’ digital presence across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube. Reporting to the Digital Editor, The Australian Women’s Weekly, you’ll work closely with the Digital Managing Editor of Women’s Weekly Food, the Social Centre of Excellence and brand teams to create compelling, audience-first content.
From crafting engaging short-form videos and dynamic carousels to curating EDMs and amplifying existing articles, your focus will be on growing audiences, increasing engagement and supporting revenue goals. You’ll also manage the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and best practices while leveraging analytics to optimise performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, edit and publish engaging content across social media platforms.
- Write compelling captions and copy with excellent grammar and a strong brand voice.
- Edit short-form videos for social platforms, particularly Instagram Reels and Pinterest.
- Manage and execute the social content calendar, ensuring brand consistency.
- Work with the team to curate, build and send EDMs.
- Analyse social media and website performance data to refine content strategy.
- Identify and capitalise on trending topics to maximise engagement.
- Work collaboratively with editorial, design, commercial and marketing teams to support brand initiatives.
