Social Media Specialist ( Professional level)
Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON

Salary: $65,000- $80,000 per year depends on experience + potential performance bonuses
U Vision Group (UVG) is a premier network of specialized eye care and cosmetic clinics, encompassing Uptown Eye Specialists, U Eye Laser Cosmetic, Dry Eye Institute, and U Optical. Dedicated to innovation and excellence, we empower patients to see and look as good as they feel through advanced vision correction, dry eye treatments, and cosmetic eye procedures.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Social Media Specialist to enhance our digital presence, engage our audience, and drive patient inquiries for UltraView FREEDOM, UltraView VISION, Dry Eye Institute treatments, and U Eye Laser Cosmetic procedures. This role will also support key initiatives and philanthropic efforts through FORSEE Canada, helping to expand awareness of our global impact. The ideal candidate is a creative professional with 5+ years of experience in content strategy, community growth, and paid social media advertising.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
· Grow and manage social media accounts for U Vision Group’s brands across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
· Stay ahead of trends in eye care, aesthetics, and digital marketing to position UVG as an industry leader.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media campaigns with lead-generation objectives and clinic promotions.
· Plan and maintain a content calendar that highlights UVG’s range of services.
· Create and publish high-quality, engaging content, including short-form videos, reels, carousels, and stories.
· Work closely with healthcare providers to incorporate real patient stories and showcase treatments, results, and patient journeys.
· Ensure all content aligns with UVG’s brand messaging: “See and look as good as you feel.”
· Develop and optimize paid advertising campaigns on Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube to drive patient consultations and lead generation.
· Manage ad budgets, A/B testing, and audience targeting to maximize ROI.
· Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve engagement and patient acquisition.
· Optimize content based on data-driven decisions to enhance visibility and conversion rates.
· Actively engage with followers, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
· Monitor and manage Google Reviews, social media reviews, and brand mentions, ensuring professional responses.
· Partner with optometrists, industry professionals, and influencers to build credibility and community engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
· 5+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist, Digital Marketing Coordinator, or similar role.
· Proven track record of managing social media accounts, growing audiences, and increasing engagement.
· Expertise in content creation, including video editing (Reels/TikToks), graphic design, and high-converting ad creatives.
· Hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns on Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube.
· Strong knowledge of social media algorithms, audience targeting, and engagement strategies.
· Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Suite, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Sprout Social).
· Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt brand tone and messaging across different platforms.
· Highly analytical and data-driven, capable of translating social media performance metrics into strategic actions.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in healthcare, aesthetics, or wellness marketing.
· Knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, and influencer marketing.
· Understanding of compliance regulations for medical and aesthetic advertising.
