We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Social Media Intern.

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our fast-growing and fast-paced organization. As a Social Media Intern, you will support our ambitions to grow community and tap into culturally relevant conversations, moments and user generated content for the MadeGood brand in key social media channels. You will work closely with internal cross-functional partners, such as the CX, creative and brand teams to develop robust proactive community engagement and social listening guidelines, and enable discovery, engagement and followership for the brand. This role requires a creative, self-starter who has a strong understanding of communities and content on social media, with a particular focus on TikTok, and a willingness to test-and-learn in this dynamic environment.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
  • Previous working experience in marketing, social media and influencer/creator marketing or consumer
  • Hands-on experience and familiarity working with social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (ex. Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.) would be considered an asset

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Robust knowledge of key social media platforms, like TikTok and Instagram
  • A strong foundation of understanding for different types of consumer engagement methods and best practices (ex. community management, UGC, influencer partnerships, etc.)
  • A passion for nurturing online communities and engaging with diverse consumer groups
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to assess trends in cultural, community and engagement metrics to provide optimization recommendations
  • Robust learning agility, with the demonstrated flexibility, grit and ownership to learn new platforms and engagement techniques as engagement with the brand evolves and grows
  • Positive, entrepreneurial spirit with excellent multitasking skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic social media environments and cultural and consumer trends
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently as well as build strong, collaborative cross-functional relationships

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the CX and Social team, develop robust strategies, guidelines and guardrails for proactive community engagement and social listening
  • Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement content for key social media channels, such as TikTok and Instagram, to build awareness, consideration and conversion of the brand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand, CX and creative, to align community engagement efforts with overall business objectives and brand guardrails
  • Lead social listening efforts to discover culturally relevant conversations, moments and user generated content for the MadeGood brand to engage with
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide insights to optimize community engagement strategy
  • Track and analyze key metrics to measure the success of community engagement initiatives
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry news and trends, and share knowledge to upskill strategy and team
