About The Role:
The Brand and Marketing Team owns and shapes the tone of voice, identity and presence in the market. They play a critical role in providing the business with customer strategy and insights at a micro (e.g. voice of customer data) and a macro level (eg. competitor intelligence) whilst providing the customer experience capabilities to action insights and drive better customer outcomes and also supply the business with campaign design and delivery capabilities, as well as sponsorship and partnership expertise, to generate leads, foster positive customer action and strengthen AGL’s brand and voice in the market.
As the Social Media Manager you will be responsible for establishing a customer social strategy, channel-specific strategies (e.g. Facebook, Instagram etc), planning organic content for those social channels, publishing posts, managing risks, setting KPIs and reporting metrics to be shared with senior executives, and ensuring effective moderation frameworks are put in place to support moderators and to ultimately positively uplift AGL’s reputation and social media sentiment.
What you’ll be doing:
-

Working across a community of social managers and closely with Corporate Affairs, clearly define a strategy and channel specific plan aligned with AGL’s business and brand strategy, to help the business achieve its reputational and brand sentiment objectives. Manage risk as part of the framework.

  • Planning and developing innovative social strategies, curating existing content to identify suitable posts, create new content for social, to deliver roadmaps of activity that will amplify our brand, products and services.
  • Using social technology (Sprinklr, Khoros) to establish effective frameworks and processes for moderating comments and creating a social community that fosters positive and valued customer relationships and providing direction to moderators and work closely with the enterprise community including Corporate Affairs, Digital and Customer Service teams to effectively respond to comments aligned with SLAs.
  • Utilising data from the social listening function of the social tech platforms and providing real time insights into trending tops and with customers and providing regular reporting on how social media sentiment and content is performing.
  • Initiating new ideas to provide best in class and leading social uplift programs for AGL to be the leader in energy social media, and positively impact group scorecard.

About you:
-

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field with experience in content or digital marketing as well as creating content strategies, executing content programs across large complex organisations and enhancing customer engagement, brand preference, SEO and digital customer experience.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience in delivering insights to key stakeholders, and the ability to deliver within tight timeframes (when required) at a high-quality level and manage projects effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in being able to conceptualise complex strategies and be comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Experience managing, optimising and developing content website/s and migrating onto other enterprise platforms and a strong understanding of SEO principles and digital content optimisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular editorial and influencing skills to manage stakeholders effectively including experience collaborating with external agencies and managing agency relationships.
