Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy Execution: Implement the content strategy developed by the Head of Content and Editorial, ensuring that all posts align with the brand’s goals and resonate with the target audience.
  • Multilingual Content: Create, curate, and post content in both English and Arabic, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
  • Gaming-Centric Content: Develop content that appeals to gaming and esports enthusiasts, including memes, gameplay clips, live-stream highlights, and tournament updates.
  • Audience Interaction: Manage the community management team actively to engage with the gaming community across social media platforms, responding to comments, posting questions, and feedback in both English and Arabic.
  • Community Building: Manage the community management team to foster a strong online community by creating and participating in discussions, encouraging user-generated content, and hosting interactive events.
  • Twitch Specialist: Manage the brand’s Twitch channel, including the scheduling and promotion of live streams, tournaments, and other gaming events.
  • Esports Tournaments: Coordinate and oversee the brand’s involvement in esports tournaments, ensuring seamless execution and maximum visibility across social media channels.
  • Local Team Support: Support the local social media and content teams to ensure consistency in messaging and strategy across different regions.
  • Localization: Ensure our global content is adapted and adopted by the local teams ensuring it resonates with the regional audience while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of social media content using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on social media activity, highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement, both to the global team and local stakeholders.
  • Event Management: Be at events to Promote and publish real-time coverage of gaming events, product launches, and esports tournaments on social media.
  • Maintain Brand Voice: Ensure that all social media content aligns with the brand’s voice and personality, particularly in bilingual communications. Maintain cultural sensitivity in all communications, particularly when adapting global content for local audiences.
  • Reputation Management: Assist in managing any social media crises or negative feedback, responding quickly and effectively in both English and Arabic.
  • Proactive Monitoring: With the community management team, monitor social channels for potential issues and address them before they escalate.
  • Staying up-to-date with the gaming industry. (Tournaments, new games, announcements, etc.)
  • To take part in brainstorming sessions for content ideas, campaigns, and activations.
  • Monitor on-going conversations happening online about gaming and the brand. (Listening)
    Requirements
    Travel Requirements: Be ready and able to travel frequently, with minimal visa restrictions, to cover events, work with local production teams. Ideally, possess a nationality that allows for easy travel with minimal visa requirements.
    Industry Passion: Bring a genuine passion for gaming and esports to the role, staying up-to-date with industry trends, popular games, and key community figures.
    Fanatic Engagement: Engage authentically with the gaming community, sharing your own gaming experiences and insights to build credibility and rapport.
    Bilingual Fluency: Must be fluent in both English and Arabic to manage communications effectively across different regions.
