Description:

We are looking for a creative, data-driven, and passionate Social Media Manager to lead our social media strategy, align with our external Social media agency, manage daily operations, and elevate Kahoot!’s brand presence and storytelling across multiple segments and platforms. This role is based in our Oslo office and will play a critical part in engaging our followers with content from our community of educators, partners, students, parents, and corporate users worldwide.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Relevant work experience can substitute for this requirement.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on operational social media experience running and creating content successfully for high-profile corporate accounts. Experience with a global brand or tech company is a plus.
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills.
  • Comfortable using a variety of social platforms (personally or professionally) like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok etc.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of paid social media strategies and social media management platforms.
  • Open and able to work across a virtual team of resources across the organization in different time zones, including Europe.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and previous experience from such an environment. Excellent personal skills and experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams.
  • A knack for generating creative ideas and the ability to bring them to life.
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken) is required; Norwegian or additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools for digital media formats.
  • Experience managing and working with social media influencers and content creators.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Social Media Specialist’s main responsibility shall be to execute on and grow our social media presence in various channels and support both brand awareness as well as conversion to drive engagement, traffic and ultimately revenue. Cross team functionality is important as the Kahoot product suit spans over different segments and user groups. The Social Media Manager will maintain and improve our SoMe strategy and ensure that it is aligned with Kahoot!´s brand, marketing and business objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development of a results-driven social media strategy that fosters a growing and engaged online community, that underpins our business goals and support our commercial strategies as well as brand awareness efforts.
  • Develop and operationalize weekly and monthly social media editorial calendars. Collaborate closely with the Corporate Communications, Content, Customer Experience and marketing teams, and work with business area heads to promote key initiatives on Kahoot!’s social channels to different audiences such as teachers, students, parents, social users and work professionals.
  • Work closely with our external SoMe agency.
  • Develop clear KPI goals for our social media presence along with management & key stake holders internally.
  • Content creation across memes, videos, blog posts, GIFs, post copy and more for a variety of social media platforms, (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Reddit, etc.) through collaboration with the Design, Content, Customer Experience and Communications teams.
  • Deep knowledge of the inner workings and intricacies of the most prominent social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Own the community management role on Kahoot!’s active social platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Additional platforms could include YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, Facebook Groups or alike.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and reviews on social media platforms in conjunction with our social listening resource in the Customer Care team.
  • Engage in social listening practices to determine our share of voice and emerging topics related to our business.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to keep Kahoot!’s social media presence fresh and relevant.
  • Monitor social media performance, analyze key metrics, and provide actionable insights to optimize future campaigns and strategies.
  • Project management of campaigns and launches.
  • Explore new channels, platforms, and emerging social media trends that make sense for our brand; from channels like Clubhouse to Discord.
  • Help manage and vet third-party vendors/agencies as needed.
  • Weekly reporting on performance of social media efforts from written reports to presentations to the management team.
  • Ensure all social media content reflects Kahoot!’s brand voice, values, and mission.
  • Plan and execute paid and organic campaigns to promote product launches, events, partnerships, and brand initiatives with external agency.
